A.Primary reproductive organs-
a. External
Libia meajora, Libia Minora
b.Internal
Vagina, uterus, uterine tube, bartholins glands

Primary reproductive organs female- Overy

Functions-
Formation of ocyte, Production of hormones – oestrogen and progesteron. Stimulation of development of female sex organs, breast and various secondary sexual characteristics by secreted hormones.

Secondary sexual characteristics of female:-
Enlargement of external sex organ. Onset of menstruation. Enlargement of breast. Public hair is triangular with apex down. Hair grow in axilla. Enlargement of pelvis. Fat deposition in abdomen, thigh, buttock. High pitched voice. Interest in opposite sex develops.

Hormones of overy:-
Estrogen, Progeterone, Relaxin, Inhibin.

Functions of ovarian hormones-
Estrogen: Stimulates the developmentof female sex organs, breast and secondary sexual characteristics.
Progeterone: Maturation of accessory sex organs of female. Maintains the secondary sexual characteristics of female. Prepares the endometrium of uterus for implantation of fertilized ovum.
Relaxin: Facilitates delivery of foetus by softening and dilating the uterine cervix.

Ovulation –
Discharge of mature ovum from the grafian follicle by rupturing the surface wall of overy in ovulation.

Menstruation-
The cyclic discharge of blood, unfertilized ovum and some other substance from uterus through vagina in female reproductive live is menstruation. The average interval of menstruation is 28 days.

Composition of mens trual blood-
Blood(30 – 70 ml), Stratum compactum and spongiosum of endometrium uterus. Mucous, Unfertilized ovum, Leucocytes etc.

Menarche and menopause. Menarche-
It means the onset of menstruation. It is at between 12 to 14 years of age
Menopause- It means the cessasion of menstruation. It is at between 45 to 55 years of age.

Fertile period- From 9th 18 days of menstruation or middle week of menstruation is fertile period.
Because, in this period there is chance of fertilization, if ovum comes in contact with mature spermatozoa.

Safe period-
The days apart from fertile period is safe period.Cause during this time fertilization does not take place.

Fertilization:-
It is the process by which male and female gametes fuse in the ampullary region of the uterine tube.

Implantation-
Placement of blastocyst to the inner wall of uterus is called implantation.After 6 – 7 day of fertilization the implantation occurs.
The normal site is – posterior wall of uterus nearer to fundus than cervix.
Pregnancy-
It is the carring of fetus or embryo, inside the womb of a female.
Test-
Friedman test, Galli manini test, Hoggben test, Aschheim zondek test, Immunological test, Kupperman test, Haemagglutination test.
